TAG The Agency successfully partnered with Tāwhiri to enhance the 2024 Aotearoa New Zealand Festival through a targeted social media campaign. Leveraging Tāwhiri's creative assets, TAG implemented a strategic ad grouping approach, optimizing ad performance and audience engagement. This collaboration maximized the festival's reach and visibility and demonstrated TAG's ability to manage and adjust campaign strategies in real-time effectively. The campaign resulted in substantial audience engagement and festival attendance growth, showcasing TAG's expertise in boosting event profiles through innovative social media tactics.

Victoria University of Wellington set us the challenge of finding a way to showcase the University to prospective students, celebrate the 125th year of the University, and tie it all back to its social media strategy, which we helped them create. Themed “Wellington is our campus” due to the unique placement and relationship the University has with Wellington City.

How did we create this epic bit of content?
Simple, it’s a combination of two drones, two and a half scooters, a helicopter, multiple GoPros, one spade, 68 burgers, 1405 emails, 13 external organisations, 13 days of filming, and a couple of megaphones. Adding to this, the super helpful team at Film Wellington, assistance from Parliament and the Wellington Police, as well as one of the most amazing clients.
The behind-the-scenes clip is only a glimpse of the production days involved. But man, we had a blast and are super proud of what TAG and the Team at Victoria University of Wellington created.

Build Your Dreams (BYD) is an innovative automotive manufacturer making its debut in the New Zealand market. In partnership with the Andrew Simms Dealership in Auckland, we develop a variety of engaging assets, including videos and images, to effectively advertise these exceptional electric cars on social media and other platforms.
Rock and Roll
We are proud to collaborate with Panhead Custom Ales on a wide array of events and activities that capture the essence of their unique brand. This includes everything from live reporting at electrifying heavy metal concerts to showcasing mouthwatering burgers and ice-cold beers on social media.
One of our most memorable accomplishments with Panhead was having a few of our pics featured in the Rolling Stone magazine. Though it may not be the typical platform for our creative expression, we were pretty stoked to see our content used in different mediums.

One of the many exhilarating projects we've had the pleasure of working on is a campaign for the Victoria University of Wellington. In this initiative, we crafted a series of assets aimed at narrating the vibrant campus life and the abundant opportunities students can seize while pursuing their education at the University. We effectively communicated the unique experiences and benefits of studying at Victoria University using social media and advertising strategies.
Help Shape Our Future
Through a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Defence Communications and Design teams, TAG embarked on a project to develop a compelling series of advertisements tailored for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn platforms. Our aim was to maximise engagement and encourage New Zealanders to participate in a survey that would contribute to the evolution of the Defence Forces of New Zealand. Leveraging the extensive reach and targeting capabilities of social media advertising, we strategically disseminated the ads across these three popular networks.

Savvy Community
In our collaboration with Traffic Fox, we established a subscription-based website offering in-depth, ad-free traffic reports while maintaining the vibrant Facebook community for real-time updates. This approach preserved the group's essence and enhanced user experience through technological innovation.

Building King is one such company – a fast-paced, dynamic building supply business that embraces the essence of Kiwi humour and constantly pushes the boundaries. Showcasing the Unseen
In a groundbreaking project for NZDF, TAG utilised its AI Imagery Service to overcome the challenge of showcasing inaccessible locations. TAG produced a series of highly realistic and engaging images by creatively blending AI-generated visuals with professional Photoshop and Lightroom enhancements. This demonstrated the transformative power of AI in transcending traditional photographic limitations, significantly boosting stakeholder engagement and redefining the NZDF's digital narrative.
Creating Social Impact
Our mission was to develop a brand framework and narrative that would enable the Defence Forces to establish a meaningful connection with their communities. As a trusted partner, we worked alongside the Defence Force to enhance their approach to addressing substance use. In collaboration with the Drug Foundation and the Defence Force, we co-designed a series of powerful and relatable images that effectively conveyed the intended message to the combined Defence Force communities.

In a testament to our passion for social media and content creation, TAG's founder, Tom, embarked on an experimental journey with the creation of the Small Car Garage Facebook community. Driven not only by his professional curiosity about the dynamics of social media channels but also by his genuine enthusiasm as a car enthusiast, Tom successfully nurtured this space into a thriving hub for like-minded individuals. Today, the community boasts over 40,000 fans, underscoring our ethos at TAG: we don't just craft cool content for our clients; we genuinely live, breathe, and love all aspects of social media. Be Uncompromising
In partnership with Again Again, we launched their beer flagons in New Zealand, showcasing their fusion of style and sustainability. Central to our strategy were influencer partnerships, driving nearly 40% of video views and significantly enhancing market penetration.
The campaign was anchored by a hero video that illustrated the flagons' integration into everyday life, underscored by additional reels and imagery to promote the concept of reuse and the circular economy. Our blend of eco-centric and general influencers amplified awareness and engagement, positioning the flagons as a lifestyle choice in the sustainable living space.

Omni-Channel Success
We collaborated with Professionals Real Estate to develop a comprehensive omnichannel advertising campaign, creating a series of advertising collaterals that reinforce their expertise in sales across all market conditions. Our campaign highlighted their ability to navigate good, bad, and challenging markets, ensuring clients feel confident in their services. By leveraging multiple channels and focusing on their strengths and adaptability, we created a powerful narrative that resonated with their target audience and solidified their position as trusted real estate professionals.
TAG and Lucire Partnership
TAG The Agency and Lucire teamed up to create engaging automotive reviews for Gazley Motors, featuring detailed content and integrated ads. We placed ads not only on Lucire but also on its affiliated site, Autocade. The combined ad impressions reached into the hundreds of thousands.
The results were impressive: Gazley Motors saw increased visibility through Lucire’s global readership, higher engagement rates, and strengthened brand perception as an automotive leader. This case study shows how effective content partnerships can drive business success through targeted storytelling and marketing.
Revitalising Capital Gymnastics
We teamed up with Capital Gymnastics to overhaul their website, which led to a significant spike in traffic and inquiries. Building on this success, we developed a brand strategy and social media guide to enhance their online presence. Additionally, we created a targeted ad campaign to recruit efficiently for various roles within their not-for-profit structure.

Launch of The Grid Digital Art Space
The launch of The Grid, a new digital art space in Wellington, was marked by a successful social media campaign orchestrated by TAG The Agency. Collaborating closely with The Grid team, TAG received an array of stunning digital assets that were seamlessly transformed into engaging ads for Facebook and Instagram. This strategic partnership allowed TAG to leverage the creative excellence of The Grid's assets, resulting in a series of visually captivating ads that effectively captured the essence of The Grid. The campaign generated substantial buzz and visibility for the new art space, showcasing TAG's ability to enhance and amplify creative content through targeted social media advertising.
Panhead Custom Kitchens Smok’o at VWoP
Panhead Custom Kitchens turned up the heat at Visa Wellington on a Plate with their irresistible ‘On Smoko!’ burger, showcased at their Tasting Room in Upper Hutt. We ignited the campaign by selecting a local mechanic’s workshop, renowned for its V8s and hot rods, perfectly reflecting Panhead's edgy brand. Our team captured the burger’s mouth-watering details through dynamic photography, which was then enhanced by Inject Design's eye-catching graphics. With a tantalizing burger description and a chance to win a unique hand-painted Kustom Tool Box, the campaign created a buzz that fueled high engagement and excitement among burger lovers.
Making a Difference
Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with the incredible team at the Elephant Trust, which is dedicated to making a real difference by preventing bullying in schools across Aotearoa.
Our role in this impactful project was to capture and produce a series of videos and images for their KiVa program. The shoot was nothing short of inspiring, with the Elephant Trust team bringing their passion and expertise to the table, helping us craft some truly powerful content. We’re excited to see the positive change this program will bring to the lives of young people in Aotearoa.

Innovating for Ages: Gazley Škoda’s Groundbreaking AR Campaign
TAG The Agency shifted gears for Gazley Skoda in Wellington with the pioneering "A Škoda in my Driveway" campaign, launched when augmented reality was new to Facebook. This innovative experience allowed users to visualise a Skoda in their driveway, inspiring them to imagine ownership while offering a chance to win a Skoda for the weekend. The campaign drove strong engagement and earned Gazley Škoda the Best in Marketing award, setting a lasting standard for digital automotive experiences.
